Firewood Moisture Meter
Yes! Cardholders of Rutland Free library can borrow a firewood moisture meter. The meters are provided at no charge to 63 public libraries around Vermont by the Department of Environmental Conservation and the Department of Libraries.
The meter is a handheld unit and comes with a simple manual to help you determine whether it's safe and healthy (for you and the environment) to burn your firewood.
Check-out period is four days. Let's be safe out there!
