Books in print

We would love to help you find a book!

You can always call during business hours. The Help Desk, ext. 101, is staffed by trained librarians.

We sort books a bunch of ways, and for the most part, they can be found in our catalog.

We have some 64,000 print titles, and are happy to order in anything not in stock.

We offer titles by format (print, audio, or ebook) sorted by age:

Kids' books listings start here

Teen books listings start here

Adult books start here

And we sort them by format, so you can find a title however you like to read:

In the building, we also have separate sections for fiction, nonfiction, Vermont / Rutland history, large type, audiobooks on CD, graphic novels (by age), new books, and more ... .

For kids, we have chapter books, easy readers, award winners ... some 125 location codes in the building at last count. So please don't be shy to ask a staff member.

And for our kids' and young adults collections, we recently added WonderBooks, which have both print and audiobook in one cover, and Playaways, which are easy-to-use audiobooks (just plug in earbuds or headphones!)

And depending on which app you use, you can find many similar groupings, suggested lists, and (one of our favorite tools) set your sort to only find items available for immediate download ... for those days when you want to read something more than only find a specific title.

They all check out the same way with the same card!
