Oct 7, 1767 Bechet, Mass \nd. Sept 19, 1832 she d.\n\nNotes:— At the age of 18 served in an expedition to Canada during the French & Indian War; came to Arlington, Vt about 1764 was much respected and very serviceable to that community. Was a millwright by trade.\n\nAt the commencement of the Rev. War he entered the army again. In Montgomery's operations against St Johns Canada he was sent forward to reconnoitre the position of the enemy. Within a few miles of St Johns he had secreted his boat and had scarcely left it when he met a party of Indians who took possession of it, hard words passed and the Indians shot him through the head.
