Aaron b. 1793-6\n\nNOTES: Aaron Reed was elected Constable of Rutland Town on March 9, 1784.\n\nThe inventory of his estate was made Oct. 20, 1796; on Feb. 8, 1797 Col. John Ramsdel, Moses Watkins, Esq. and Aaron Thrall were appointed a committee to set off to Elizabeth Whipple, late widow, her dower from the estate of her late husband Aaron Reed, deceased late of Rutland. At the same time David Whipple of Rutland was appointed guardian to Folley, Salley, Phebe and Aaron Reed minor children and heirs to the estate of the said Aaron Reed.\n\nOn Jan. 16, 1811, Aaron Reed of Rutland a minor of 17 years of age chose John Anderson of Ira as his guardian. Division of the estate was made Dec. 18, 1811.\n\nREV. SERVICE: Aaron Reed's name appears on the Payroll of Capt. Nath'l Blanchard's Co. of Militia in Col. Ebenezer Allen's Regt on the Alarm commencing Oct. 12, 1780 to Nov. 12, 1780. Jan 2, 1822 Hiaw Morgan\n\nNOTES: Aaron Reed left a will dated April 12, 1836 in which he names his wife Lucy and leaves her $\\frac{1}{2}$ the farm which was left him by his father Aaron Reed, Sr. Wife Lucy was name guardian over the three minor children namely Lorette Reed aged 4 yrs, Henry C. Reed aged 7 yrs and Edwin A. Reed aged 13 yrs. Division of estate was made April 25, 1838 to Henry C., Lucy A., Edwin A., minor children and Betsey M., evidently and older child and wife Lucy. Executors of will were Lucy Reed and Moses Watkins.\n\nLucy D. Reed joined the West Parish Congregational Church in 1856, but was dismissed. "}
