Lucy b 18 Nov 1792\n\nNotes Arrived in Castleton with his family in May of 1770. \nWas an extensive land owner and was highly respected, though \neccentric. He erected the first framed house in Castleton and \nprobably kept the first tavern. The men recruited for the attack on \nLancaster were quartered there. Was suspected of being favorable \nto the British cause though there was no positive evidence of \nhis disloyalty. He represented the town in the Council of Safety \nin 1778. He died at the advanced age of ninety-four years \npractically destitute.\n\nRev.
