Augustine Hibbard was born at Windham, Connecticut\nApril 7, 1748 and graduated at Dartmouth College in 1772.\nHe was\nordained the second minister of Claremont,\nN.H. a\nOctober 20, 1774.\nRegiment commanded by col.\nClaremont in December of that year.\nTinothy Beda July 1777, họ\nbut returned to\nwas appointed chaplain to the brigade of Gen. John Stark\nserved to\nOctober\nwhen he again returned to Claremont\nwhere he remained until disnissed in December, 1785.\nHe was one of the selecten of Rutland in 1791. From Rutland he went to Stanstead,\nCanada, where he entered secular\npursuits and was for many years a magistrate under the crown.\nRev. Robert F. Laurence in his history of the Congregational and Presbyterian churches of New Hampshire,\nsays that\n\"for\nmany years he did not honor his profession of love to God.\nHe died December 1831.\nTerror and thick darkness\nhim for a tine, in view of his dereliction from duty, out of which he came into joyful hope in Christ in his last\n• "}
