Randal Smathers has been at the library since December 2012, and director since July 2017. He has a Masters of Library and Information Science (Clarion, 2014), a Bachelor of Arts in English (Alberta, 1992) and a Master of Arts in English (Alberta, 1994).
He's chair of the Vermont Library Association Intellectual Freedom Committee.
