The library is pleased to be partners with Rutland County Parent Child Center. Together we will host play groups Friday mornings in the Fox Room from 9:30-11 AM. Always free and open to all.
Again this year, the library is happy to offer passes for a variety of attractions as well as the state parks. State park passes are day passes that allow entrance for up to eight people in one vehicle. Reader’s Corner (which you can find in the left-hand menu, and the top menu) features all the resources you need about books in our library. There are links to InterLibrary Loan and a request form for new books and dvds. Check it out today!
The Friends of the Library is an auxiliary group organized to “foster, encourage, sponsor and promote the perpetuation, improvement, and interest in the Rutland Free Library.” The Friends welcome new members at all times. Pick up a membership form at the circulation desk.
Meeting times are posted, usually the 2nd Monday of the month.
In addition, the Friends are currently recruiting new Board members. Notify the nominating committee (email email@example.com) if you are interested in serving on the board for a two-year commitment. Voting occurs at the annual meeting.
The Friends sponsor frequent book sales throughout the year as a fundraising event.
